You are not alone. With support you will be well.
I am glad you are here, welcome.
My name is Dr. Danielle Watkins and I am so glad you’ve landed at my website. Seeking help can be a vulnerable process and I look forward to learning how I can support you on your journey with mental wellness.
I am perinatal mental health certified (PMH-C) and have a Ph.D. in Counseling from Oregon State University. I am dual licensed in the state of Washington as a Mental Health Counselor (LH60447408) and Marriage and Family Therapist (LF60294866) and Arizona (LMFT-16130).
My approach to counseling is supportive, collaborative, holistic, and client centered. As a psychotherapist, I primarily utilize Humanistic, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Narrative, and Attachment-based, Trauma-informed and Client centered perspectives. Regardless of these orientations, ‘fit’ with your provider is the most important indicator of effective counseling will be. A good fit in counseling means there is strong rapport, mutual respect, and a sense that both the client and counselor are working together towards shared goals. Most importantly, it includes feeling comfortable and safe enough to openly share and explore without fear of judgement.
I provide a safe, mindful, empathetic, and non-judgmental space for clients to build connection, facilitate change, healing, and acceptance. I strive to cultivate a collaborative relationship with my clients throughout the therapeutic process to be most effective and helpful in reaching your goals.
